Library News for November 2014

Test your iMac Work at Khalifa Library

iPads have been added to iMacs in the KWC Library, so that students can demo their work realistically

Prospects for the American Age

Signed copies of Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi’s book "Prospects for the American Age" have been donated to both Khalifa and City Campus Libraries.

Faculty Research Group

Abu Dhabi libraries have initiated a Faculty Research Group. This is an informal gathering of faculty interested in researching (in some capacity) who will meet a couple of times a semester in each Abu Dhabi campus. The first meeting at ADWC was held on 15 October, and meetings in KWC and ADMC will be held Sunday 2 and Monday 3 November respectively. Anyone with an interest in sharing or learning more about research is welcome to attend. For further information, please contact Dr. Janet Martin in ADWC library on janet.martin@hct.ac.ae.

In short...

  • Always check the library screens for updates to library hours, as well as other helpful information.
  • Please only bring covered drinks (those with lids) into the library, as a spill can damage our equipment, or leave a nasty stain on our carpet!
  • At times the libraries can be quite busy with events supporting student learning. If you need a quieter area to study, ask the Service Desk about finding/booking a quiet area to study.
  • Remember to bring your latest HCT ID card if you want to print in the Library!
